When we have professional photos taken, there’s usually a driving cause behind it…an engagement, a new job, a family reunion, high school graduation, etc.
There’s one milestone though that we didn’t mention, but is such an incredibly special time in our lives that people don’t often take advantage of capitalizing on with a photo session. This is your graduation from college. Right after finishing college we are at such a unique time in our lives, emotionally and physically. In a way we are at one of our peaks in life, having just completed years of education, navigated our young adolescence, and just begun to get a sense of who we are and where we fit in the world. We’ve changed drastically since the last time we were photographed, which was likely high school graduation, and there’s some time until the next large life event which is usually getting married.
At Photography by Desiree we love to photograph college grads and capture this fleeting and beautiful time in your life. You’ve grown into yourself tremendously since high school and will continue to change so much. You are just on the cusp of adulthood, which is a small window of time that will be so fun to look back on in 10, 20, and 30 plus years. When we say college graduation pics, we don’t just mean photos of you in a cap and gown, standing by the administration building. We’ll take a few of those, but mainly this is an opportunity to document who you’ve become and the idea of who you will be. We will custom design your session to fit you, and capture you in a way you’ll love. These images will serve you not only professionally, but personally.
As you enter this next chapter in your life, it’s important to have great images to accompany you. You are just beginning your career and need to market yourself, and create your “brand” in order to make yourself stand out in a sea of applicants. A stunning image will do just that.
