What’s the PBD Senior Team all about?

Let me introduce myself…

Hey, I’m Desiree. I love to travel, I’m a mom of 3 boys, and photography has been the tool I’ve used for 30 years to connect to the world around me and all the beautiful people that have come across my path. I believe in the power and necessity of deep friendships and creating a positive impact on as many people as possible.

I am passionate about this team and the messaging it sends. I love having a diverse group of people, different personalities and looks, and various interests and I want you to be YOU. I have been a photographer for many years and I’ve photographed every genre, but high school seniors is one of my top favorites. I love this age and it’s a special opportunity to show you a new or different way to see yourself. Typically your senior session is your first professional photography experience, and I want to make it unforgettable. I am a connector first and foremost, I will put you at ease, make you feel comfortable and get to know you over your session. I will capture you in a way you have not seen yourself before. 100% of the girls on the team over the past 11 years have said that their self-confidence improved by being a part of the team. You will definitely get more comfortable in front of the camera, meet new friends, and have a lot of fun! Everyone on the team has said they would recommend it to a friend, which is most likely how you are seeing this!

What the model team includes…

First: Get started by signing up for a meeting.

Fill out the application on our sign-up page here. In this questionnaire, you’ll select a meeting date that works best for you AND your parents. At the meetings, you’ll get a feel for what it’s like to be a client and part of the PBD Senior Team. We’ll go over all the details: the senior collections, the time & financial investment, and what next year’s photo shoots will look like. If you can’t make a meeting time in the questionnaire work, I am more than happy to meet one-on-one! Simply just call or text me (619-249-4442)

Second: You must be a client to be on the team.

The cost of the team includes your senior session (including professional hair and makeup), your senior collection (prints, albums and digital files), the opportunity to participate in 4-5 other shoots throughout the year you’re on the team- these include digitals!

Third: We do one big all-day shoot in Denver in the summer.

This is the 2nd shoot we do as a team and it strengthens the bonds and is such a fun day! You get your makeup done and then we drive to Denver for our multiple-location shoot! We shoot all day, you get to hang out as a team, and then we all have dinner in Denver. We shoot both photos and video at this shoot and each girl will get their own video! This is only offered to our team!

Fourth: We do a few team dinners over the year…

We have our first one right after our team has been put together and we get to know each other! We do a holiday party every year, and meet a couple of other times. One of the things the girls love the most about being on the team is getting the chance to meet new people and form friendships that can last many years! Just this year I saw wedding photos from a girl on the team and 2 of the other girls from the team that year were at the wedding!

What’s the time commitment?

We understand you are busy and your time is limited
- The PBD Team is not a huge time commitment!
We do 5 shoots over 1 year, including your senior session
- The July shoot is the only all-day shoot that isn’t local
- The other shoots can last anywhere between 15 minutes per girl to 2 hours if it’s a group shoot
Meeting people from other schools and making new friends are some of the things the team has loved most

What Being On The PBD Team is All About
Besides documenting each girl during this special time of their lives, we also aim to create a safe and collaborative environment for each team member to bond with one another as we explore topics such as identity, self-expression, social media and how to use it as a force for good, and building confidence within ourselves.
